LEARN MORE ABOUT ME

ABOUT ME

Prior to focusing on the Training and Leadership Development space, I worked in the magazine publishing business.  During my time in publishing, I learned how to recruit, train, and develop talent, both for the operations and sales side of the business.  I also held leadership roles in several start-ups and turn-around efforts.  It is that experience that taught me about change management, project management and most importantly, managing time and priorities.

In 2006, after having done a fair amount of competitive public speaking, I decided to move full time into the training and development arena and launched Lakeside Leadership & Development, LLC.  Since then, I’ve delivered some 3,000 programs in the U.S. and abroad.  I’ve presented up and down the organizational chart and across industries.  I take pride in that my programs have been referred to as being entertaining, engaging, and educational.

TRAINING

Over the past 16 years,  I’ve created/developed content for hundreds of programs, and have experience across all platforms, from in-person training through remote and video on demand training.  Below are some of the programs I’ve created and/or delivered.

COACHING

My Coaching experience started a bit by accident.  I was doing a fair amount of Speech Coaching and some of those clients requested more broad-based coaching.  Most of my coaching clients were Upper-Middle and Higher-Level (including C-Suite) managers.  Once we discussed/identified the primary goals and concerns, we build a timeframe, action plan and metrics are established.  From there, I would work with my clients to play to their individual strengths and find ways to improve their weaker skills.

SPEAKING

My entry into the Training and Development world came from competitive public speaking.  I have always enjoyed the presentation part of the business and have presented keynote addresses and featured speaker spots at various industry gatherings.  The bulk of my speeches involve overcoming obstacles, motivation, and living a full and satisfying life.
